There is a wide variety of A level economics textbooks out there and it can be challenging to choose the best one! Generally, the best textbook for you will be the one released from the examination you sit for. For example, if you are sitting for the Cambridge A level economics exams, opt for the Cambridge A level economics textbook. However, it can be worth looking a look at other exam board's textbooks, AQA for example, to get additional notes.

Do I need to buy the latest textbook?

The answer is no! Buying the latest edition of an economics A level textbook is not necessary. Buying a 2018 edition instead of a 2021 one will not significantly affect your learning. It's more important to practice the latest past papers and keep updated with the syllabus.
